Z counting in French:
"uh...duh...wa...duck!"
I don't know why he decided it was a duck instead of a cat (quatre). But it makes him giggle madly. (Both of us, really.)
Incidentally, I didn't actually teach him to count in French--he picked it up from a series of French animated shorts on Youtube called "Mimi la souris." He's *mad* for these, and asks for them by name. One has Mimi in a plane drawing numbers with the contrail fog, and one day last month he asked for that particular one over and over. Later that night, on the way to a birthday party, I heard him in the back seat muttering "six, sept, dix!" So I started counting back, and before we'd reached our destination, he had all the numbers to 10.
Then he started the thing with the duck.
