So sorry to see this end, I was expecting more chapters *hint, hint*
Loved how Hephaistion quoted Achilles' horses. The little things, like Boukephalas taking to Hephaistion (btw, that appple scene was so masterfully done), the way you showed that Alexander had not made the wrong choice - absoutely lovely. How the two ride together in such a cinematic image....
I really hope you are cooking more of these stories, they are a delight to read!

A few other stories are cooking, yes...they just insist on being simmered at an excruciatingly slow pace. Bleh. :)

I really enjoyed this chapter. I've been looking forward to it, but didn't get to it until just now. I like your references to Homer, very nice. Your Alexander and Hephaistion are very sweet, but have a nice touch of realism to them. Great story its shows a lot of work and wonderful imagination!

It's really odd, I expected to write darker stories if anything, based on the kind of Lord of the Rings fic I usually went after . . . But in this story especially, I wanted to capture the mood of an instant connection. Thank you very much for your wonderful comments!
