Or something like that. Just finished a part of my airplane ride, 13 fucking hours!!! Of pain and insomnia....
Took Korean Airlines, seats were cramped, food was barely edible, felt like dying...you know the usual. And now I have a six hour layover at Incheon Airport. At least the airport is nice which leads me to...
I'm going to squeal about how nice it is. Don't want to sound like a country bumpkin but it's just Toronto airport is terrible, TERRIBLE and suddenly seeing an airport with...THINGS is like heaven, especially the hellish flight. So it's basically like a mall, a very expensive mall so for window shopping only but seriously so much things to look at. There's quite a few food options which are a bit expensive in comparison so in other words, the standard Toronto pricing. What I really like is that they offer you stuff to do. Besides the obvious of free internet (which I'm using to post this), like there's a Korean culture centre that showcases their...culture, it's a small space but there are tutorials on how to make these little crafts that take up some time. There's also a spa that offers a variety of massages and manicures. There is a technology area (their words) which is just small couple booths where they are showing some movies and you watch them, kinda like a very un-private dvd bang. Also they have comfy chairs all around the airport.
And I just finished using their shower facilities. And I know you're probably thinking it's those kinda grimey looking YMCA ones (not that YMCA is dirty just it looks drabby and you know so many people have been there) but it actually look like hotel bathrooms! And after a long flight you just want to like bath under their monolithic shower heads, it's like standing under a light waterfall (cause the big ones will break your bones in reality). So yea that was great.
Well that's pretty much it, just that if this airport is representative of Seoul than woooot.
vacation,
