Colors of the rainbow appointed by You.
Nature on its own is a beautiful sight,
I stand in awe trying to fathom Your might.
From blades of grass to forty-foot trees,
Your creation is endless, compassion will never cease.
But as your children, we forget to thank you, Father
For these simple blessings in life-- shelter, clothing, water.
Surrounded by super-sizes, designer brands, social class,
We give in to Satan's tricks and have our noses against the glass
You have given me more than what I could ever buy
Your love is priceless; Jesus had no shame to die.
In honor of You, I pray to never forget
The blessings that you've blessed me with
And the blessings that I haven't received, yet.

The sun rises; it's a beautiful morning.
Before I get out of bed I praise Your name
I want You in every part of my life, every moment.
I get ready for the day, excited for what it has in store for me--
What You have in store for me--
and can't help but smile because I'm so happy.
In the car I observe life around me
The sun shines, the sky is blue and the trees sway
I say to myself, "God, You are an artist. Thank you, it is beautiful."
At a stoplight I look at the person in the car next to me
I hope they have a good day; I wonder if they are happy;
I pray they know You.
Home on a Monday night I'm stressing from so much homework
Stop, deep breath, I pray to You to give me strength.
You comfort me whenever I am in need-- You are amazing.
In bed, I pray and thank You for being my best friend.
You are always there when I am in need
When I hurt, when I cry, when I am hopeless.
You are always there when I am ecstatic
When I win, when I laugh, when I am loving life--
The life you were to gracious enough to bless me with.
I look at the events that have led up to me now
and it was all You.
You surprise me every day, Lord--
I love surprises.
