Displaying the Ebony.

When I got back to the Gallery I made a special display for the ebony carvings. I covered a medium stand with velvet and scattered them over it as though they were animals on grass. They are very ethnic but not really particually attractive. I was tempted to take some home to see how they look against various backgrounds but they aren't big enough to make a real display anyway and they dolook African. People can get things like that anywhere.

I really need something large and impressive for that window. Something to catch the tourists' eyes. I think I will go over to Crawford Street on my way home. The couple who took that old mansion may have something to sell, and if I could get an item or two with a Californian history I might bring in more of the tourist trade.
