It can't be true...
but it just might be.
Judging by the content of my mom's emails (those god awful chain-type things) I can only come to one conclusion:
She's turning into a Republican.
Not the kind of Republican that I can understand and respect---you know, the kind who advocate smaller government, who are anti-bureaucracy, proponents of individual responsibility. The ones who leave God and/or personal prejudices out of their politics. Not that I've ever met one of those*, but I'm sure they do exist. Just like unicorns or jackalopes....
No, she's one of those; a flag waving, my country-right-or-wrong, anti-immigrant, God fearing, intolerant, morally superior (because war is apparently the moral high ground these days) Republican. Now, she's always been a bit intolerant and morally superior, but not to these extremes. We've got to nip this in the bud before she hits zealot status.....
My dad, had he not been cremated, would be rolling over in his grave.
*Actually, I have met one of those come to think of it. But he was just a Libertarian in denial.
