Hm... A friend asked me a couple weeks ago, "Was it hard to keep the faith in a bible school?" I told her yes but not because it honestly was but I didn't know any other answer. Bought a book for a friend for her graduation and I had a deep want to read it (have decided to keep it as a result lol). It's called "Where Is Your Gutter?" It's about how sterile Christians are. I'll be the first to admit I haven't stretched myself near as much as I could. I am sometimes one of the first people to turn my nose up at those in the gutters.

The book made me angry, it made me realize that's how we are. The gutter is where I want to be. I want to be down there loving the Mary Magdelins and the leapers of this world today. I am sick of being sheltered and sick of the Christians who want to be sheltered. To be Christian means to be Christ like. Christ went into those dark places and we should too. We shouldn't expect them to come to the churches. I know when I'm running from God that's the last place I want to be and I've been a Christian 19 years now no wait 7-21 that's not 19 that's more like... 14 that's it lol I'm smart... Anyway, the book made me realize that my "loss of faith" was terribly misplaced. It wasn't in God but Christians in general. I don't want to be a safe Christian anymore, and I hate being the Christian that keeps giving into her crutches instead of relying fully on God.
