:-D

I hope you are able to put it in--I can remember (just about) changing the ribbon on my Smith Corona!

must go Google friands...Aha: "Typically a friand is a bite-sized pastry made from almond meal, butter, sugar, egg white and flour."--and it seems to be an Australian specialty. Will get a recipe, try to make some, and think of you.

Lovely photo--who is taking pictures on the porch?

That's my sister Elle : )

I'll work it out - it just wasn't intuitive - but I found a good website!

Friands are lovely. I'll pop in a recipe in the package (except it will be in metric...).

I make mine with whole eggs, and a little gluten free flour, and lots and lots of almond meal. It's good stuff. Expensive to make though!

They sell it in cafes here...

Why gluten-free? Is that what they need, or is it that you (or someone you cook for!) is allergic to gluten?

My sister is coeliac (gluten free) and I feel much better and have more energy if I eat no wheat.

I've being doing this for 3 months now.

That's interesting that you, too, have more energy! I love bread and things; it would be hard for me to give up wheat... but it's interesting to hear about the benefits from someone who doesn't *need* to make the switch, but has done so anyway...
