Football fever, anyone?
World Cup is on! Watched the South Korea vs Greece game. I was going
for South Korea, they've been pretty impressive from the last cup as well.
I'm not really a big football/soccer fan, I was in high school, then Brazil
lost to France in 1998 and I haven't recovered from the trauma yet.
It wouldn't have been an issue, except it started at 9.30 Australian time,
finished around 11, I think, and I had to wake up at 3 am to go to work.
Blah.
I'll be working in the afternoon tomorrow, which is good. I'll
put my alarm on at 4 am to watch the Australia vs Germany game.
Whether I wake up to watch it is a different story.
Maybe Australia can win this one, who knows? Although I have
a feeling it would be Germany. If Australia doesn't win, then
maybe we can settle for a draw.
According to the experts (in short, not me!) losing the first game
means that a team will have less than 20% chance of making it
to the next round.
What does it mean fanfic wise? If Australia loses or draws,
I'll post one chapter of Trouble with Love. If they win, I'll post two.
I'm now writing Chapter 13, and it was difficult to do it last night while
watching the game between South Korea and Greece. It looks like more
of a cut and paste rather than one chapter. I couldn't even edit Chapter 12
because of the distraction. I'm taking advantage that I have about 20 mins before
Algeria and Slovenia begins. Don't know anything about either team so not sure
who to support.
Will try to edit chapter 12, finish chapter 13 and hope that I can start the
Connor one-shot(s) I'm tempted to write Connor joining the school soccer team now...
