We received the letter with Grant's MRI results. They aren't bad (if they were, I'm sure we would have been called), but they aren't great either. His MRI last year showed a syrinx (fluid) along the spinal column. This is normal for sb kids. His syrinx has increased in size, which isn't unexpected, but just something I had hoped wouldn't. Oh well. We will have to go back in six months for another MRI rather than the usual 12-18 months. I AM the one who requested the MRI due to his behavioral issues and back tenderness stuff that went on this summer, so I really shouldn't be surprised. At all. But there was this part of me that kept thinking that since we hadn't heard anything right away it meant everything was routine, and we'd be doing a routine one in a year or so. Now, I wish I'd been able to go to the appointment I cancelled (due to the stuff going on with mom) so I could ask all the questions I have. I suppose I could call, but I would end up talking to the NP I"m not overly fond of talking to.
