I've known William for... what? Ten years or so? Maybe longer?
His friend Amber made some pretty right on comments on my LJ, and I'd seen her make some awesome remarks on William's too. So I friended her. We're both from LA and have a bunch of random stuff in common.
I'd heard a lot about William's wife, Meg, but had never really been introduced--electronically or otherwise. So, William is a kind gentleman and introduces us over some mildly bad Ichiban sushi. Kudos to both of them for sinking the Boat... and the sake... and still coming over for rum. Fucking troopers. We chatted and drank until about eleven (along with Jim who, sadly, is not on LJ). Meg is super awesome. So I friended her.
And Meg was Amber's college roommate, yes? Am I understanding that correctly? So my being introduced to Amber through William was kind of random seeing as how I would have been more likely to have met her through Meg.
In this series of internet and IRL encounters, I have decided that I should meet everyone who is friends with everyone I know. Eventually, I'll be friends with everyone on Earth since everybody knows somebody who knows somebody who knows me.... and that goes for you, too.
