My First Tour (Part 1)
Damn! It's been a while since my last blog entry, but I have a pretty good excuse. I wasn't here
. I was on tour with the choir. And it was a BLAST!!!!! We visited some amaaaaaaaaaaaaazing places!!!! Really breathtaking and our concerts went great. In Turin we sang for guests of the Bulgarian consulate and needless to say there were some big shots there. But we completely took their breath away!!!! And after our last concert in France, there was a standing ovation. The feeling of being that much appreciated is unbelievable!!!! I hope everyone in the world could feel it at least for a while.
Anyway, I guess you'd be more interested in the photos I took and the places I visited. And I guess Slovenia and Postojna are a good place to start. First let me say that Slovenia... is something exceptional. Everything is so green and tidy and beautiful. If you ever get the chance to visit, don't you hesitate for a second!
This country is the the thing you imagine when you read a fairy tale.
In Postojna we visited the Postojna cave (and sang a few songs in it, of course. The Japanese tourists loved us!!!
but they love almost everything... nice people). The cave was discovered in 1818 and it has been open for visits since 1819 and they even started having balls in it, but that didn't last long. (Maybe because it's quite chilly inside - 9 degrees throughout the whole year, although in winter it must be warm and cosy inside.)
First you get on a cave train that leads to the heart of the cave. And then the long walking begins.
From Postojna and Slovenia, we left for the Italian Alps and the beautiful Coredo... I wish I had enjoyed our stay there, but unfortunately the moment I set my foot in Cored (and before that on the bus) I felt sick and threw up a few times. Thank god, that prevented me from taking part only in one concert (which doesn't really count because it was unexpected. When we arrived they just asked us to go to some gallery and sing a few songs for there was an exhibition there.)
Nevertheless, Coredo was beautiful and so was the San Romedio monastery where we sang the same evening.

On our second day in the Italian Alps, we visited the Rio Sass canyon.
Me ineptum!!!! I forgot to mention that we visited Verona on our way to Coredo. Best part of Verona, the place that every tourist visits - Juliet's house, which has become a modern temple of love.
And inside it (as well as on its doors) people leave messages and wishes. Most are love wishes of course.

Turin... (Yeah, if you're a fan of Juventus, that's the moment you start bouncing, but I have to disappoint you. I didn't have time to go and boo your favourite team, but maybe next time.
)
That's inside (and outside - second pic) the University of Turin, where we had a very important concert and a very like-in-the-movies cocktail party right after it. There were shrimps and other delicacies and the desserts.... OMG! Let's just say I booked my place in the 3rd circle of hell...
