So I came into my room last night and I saw some big black thing scamper across the floor. That was, my, friends, my first NYC cockroach, and I sadly don't expect it to be my last. I tried catching it but the little bugger is FAST. So now it's hiding out behind the fridge or something. And evidently one of my roommates saw a rat here before we moved in, too. Lovely.

Well, I'm off to buy roach poison and food containers.
