On a less cryptic note, today's my first day off in a few days. I just started my job at Children's Hospital. I absolutely adore it. The kids and staff are amazing and I just love the atmosphere. I like helping people. Maybe that's nerdy but I never claimed to be cool. So there you go.
I've got an appointment at Maksou this afternoon and I'm thrilled. Things were just so crazy last semester that I haven't seen Janice since she did my hair before LA. I really need a new cut. And now Reena's trying to convince me to color it. Actually, I think that might be kinda fun. A change. I'm just nervous because I've never had it colored before. So we'll see.
After hell semester, I've decided that a day of pampering is overdue. I'm hitting up the nail salon for a manicure in about an hour and a half. I probably sound like a spoiled, frivolous brat but you know...it's not wrong to indulge yourself once in a while. It makes you feel better about yourself and more serene and there's enough bad energy in the world. The people around you don't need it coming from your direction.
So that's my advice for the day, at least for the ladies.
Run, don't walk to the nearest place you love to go.
Be pampered.
And if you're a guy...watch the playoffs, I guess. LOL.
