OMGosh, it's so good to be home.
I was on the Mass Pike driving back from my parents' house and saw Trader Joe's (you know, the one that tells you you're almost there, lol) and got the biggest wave of nostalgia. And let's not even talk about how thrilled I was to be back in my apartment.
It's not that I didn't have a good time at home--I did. Liza and Robert (my fave couple ever) came from Michigan for a family vacation. As per usual, the Massachusetts and New Hampshire lot of us took vacations and basically hit up the key New England spots all week. We went to Foxwoods where I gambled for the first time ever. And I won! I'm verra, verra talented at those nickel machines, let me tell you. And you don't just win nickels. It's amazing! Then we went to the Cape--the boys went deep sea fishing. Maybe I'm being Captain Obvious but the Atlantic, well, it's an OCEAN. But, hey, whatever. I didn't write the brochure.
In a very caveman-esque manner, they brought the fish back and the women cleaned and cooked them. How progressive of us. LOL. We also went to Water Country and had some fun in the sun. The commercial doesn't lie. Good to know. And then to culminate it, we did the barbeque thing for the weekend, first in Mass and then in NH where there were an abundance of babies and of course, my faves, the triplets.
So much fun but so freaking exhausting.
I met up with everyone at the casino after my final clinical and then this morning I got back only to have to take a final. Let's not discuss how much studying I got done. Cause there's not much to discuss. Over the past few days, I've developed a renewed appreciation for Boston--land of abbreviated T rides, limited exposure to young children and quiet roommates.
Damn the Lebanese are loud.
Alright, one final down. One to go. I better go study for this one.
