Amtgard: Toys for Tots Tournament

What: A Toys for Tots/Food Drive Tournament
When: Tentatively scheduled for 12/14
Where: Saladino Park in Brandon, FL (where Falling Fire normally meets)
Why? Because once in a while its nice to give back if you can. I know we are all strapped for extra cash these days, but what is a soda from a gas station or that latte at Starbucks that most of us still splurge on occasionally could mean the difference in a holiday meal or a present from Santa for a child this Christmas that otherwise wouldn't have one.
What do you get out of it? Why, the warm & fuzzies for doing something good for the community of course. (Stop giving me that look...)
Alright, there *will* be some form of tournament, but the details are still being ironed out. It will be a donation tourney, so expect it to cost you $5, one toy, or two non-perishable food items to enter. However:
** There will be prizes, I guarantee this, even if it means that I pony them up myself somehow. **
So, now you get to do something good for the community, hit people with padded sticks, *and* possibly win something cool. Sound better yet? No?!?
Well, what about some good ol' fashioned Amtgard games: Ring the Bell, and a Class Battle Buy-In Style where you can make an extra donation for something cool. Details are being ironed out on that one as well, but ideas so far include a donation to play 6th level in your chosen class, a donation to buy 10 extra points of magic, or a donation to get an extra point of armour. Look at it this way, you can meta-game and not feel so bad because you're doing it for charity! ^_^
