Joxer wasn't about to get all teary goodbye on people. But he'd packed up his few belongings, and had a few things to leave behind before he, himself, left.

"Hey Pippi," Joxer said. "You seem happy. Happy is good."

"Happy is very good, I have a Solstice gift for you!"

Pippi held out a brown cloth bundle.

Joxer shook his head. "You should keep it," he said.

[strongestgirl]

"They won't fit me. They'd look much better on a hero." she said holding them out again.

[joxertehmighty]

"A hero doesn't get kicked out of school," Joxer said.

[strongestgirl]

"Says who?"

[joxertehmighty]

"Says a guy who just got kicked out of school," Joxer said.

[strongestgirl]

Pippi gave Joxer a sympathetic smile and pat him on the shoulder.

"Well what does he know, he just got kicked out of school! Plenty of people grew up to be great people and didn't even go to school, much less do well in it... Besides, thems the heros people like best!"

Joxer nodded. "I guess I will take it," he said. "It was nice knowing ya, Pippi."

[strongestgirl]

Pippi gathered Joxer and the bundle she gave him up into a hug that possibly lifts him off his feet.

"You be a great hero... You better be, 'cause I got a teacher with a time machine!"
