1. Are there any books you'd like to see adapted into a film?
Anything written by Matthew Reilly. He writes like an action movie anyway and would be absolutely amazing on screen! Especially his Scarecrow series.
2. If you had a time machine, would you go forward or back? If back, would there be anytime you'd go to specifically?
My brain says I should always go forward and never look back. My heart says back.
3. What's your favourite place to chill out and relax?
Mine is less a place and more company - anywhere with friends, whether its the local pub, someone's house or a restaurant. :)
4. Grab the closest book to you, turn to page 63 and write the first sentence you come across.
Ah. You caught me in a room with no books and all my other books are in groups so there isn't a nearest one so I'm going with last book I read (that I haven't already returned to the library).

In case you're wondering, Mother is a callsign. And it ain't anything maternal; it's short for 'motherfucker'. She's amazing. :D
5. How did you come to being on LJ?
I went looking for fanfic after the end of Doctor Who series 3 left me craving more than the ending gave me. I then started writing my own and that, as they say, is that!
6. What's your current favourite song?
Embarrassingly enough, Lollipop by Framing Hanley is the current 'on my brain' song. I really want to hear a female artist sing it...
My long term favourite song would still have to be Sing by My Chemical Romance.
7. Is there one place you've always wanted to visit?
Um, I don't think so, I don't have much wanderlust in me. I have been lucky enough to go to lots of places though so many of my must sees have already been crossed off. I would like to return to Russia someday, but right now the laws against "promoting homosexuality" make that impossible as it would scare me too much.
8. Hogwarts and magic is real. Which house do you think you would be sorted in? Or do you think you'd be magical at all?
I suspect Ravenclaw as I was a hell of a swot. I hope I'd be magic.
9. When you were a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
An archaeologist, but then I realised that would involve getting cold, wet and muddy so moved towards historian instead. Archives may be cold and musty but at least you don't get rained on!
10. If you could have any super power, what would it be? Would you even want one?
I would love a superpower! If I was telekinetic I would never move and get even bigger so I guess either telepath or able to fly. Flying would be amazing but at the same time I'm a little afraid of heights so maybe Telepathy is the best choice!
11. Did you ever have a favourite teacher at school/college/Uni?
Yes. At school I had a different history teacher for one year, year 10, than I had the rest of the time and he was amazing. Mr Nelson was brilliant, I was in a very mixed "there's a gap in the timetable" set of people who didn't care about history and the few like me who really got it, and he was able to cope with everyone, even lending me his own books and setting me extra work to keep me challenged. He was the first teacher who actually believed in me and encouraged me to push myself and he was excellent.
