flight tickets!!
just got confirmed my part time scribe role for hazop now. tom, the process lead came over in the late evening and asked my deputy lead if he could get me and my senior to scribe full time for the 2 month workshop because he doesnt trust the contractor to fetch a good scribe for the workshop that seemed to be going on slowly but definitely improving. my deputy lead said the workshop is a pretty good one so i would probably learn quite a bit by scribing.. and i hope she's right! the workshop is going to end in dec 10 which means i go nowhere to go from now till then! gonna be taking turns to scribe with my senior and oh well, i better go find out how PHA-pro works before entering the workshop. dun want to have the clients come after me.
anywayyy so the only thing that's left for me to do is to BUY FLIGHT TICKETS TO UK! shortlisted the following: thai airways (1.6k), airasia (1.3k!!), emirates (1.6k) and last resort SQ (2.2k).
thai airways is currently offering me the best price for the best timings, so i think i will go for that once my credit card is activated! going to fly on the 21st evening of december and will reach london at 6.20am (sorry leslie, tts very early and tt probably means u need to bunk in with someone in london for one night ^^"). will be flying back to sg on the 2nd, at 11.20am (which means me and leslie will probably have to find lodging in london the night before and reach airport at 9am.. tts the thai airways timing. can still get good aisle seats IF I ACT FAST AKA tomorrow!! there are still quite a few seats left la but i dunno leh, just the singaporean kiasu mentality kicking in.
hahahaa airasia is dirt cheap, plus the hsbc card allows me 100 bux rebate so tt means it only costs 1.2k! but im not sure if im ready to give up in-flight entertainment cos its a freaking long flight and the timings are pretty bad (flying in the afternoon and transit times are longer than 2 hours.. so oh wellsss)
not really keen on emirates because i'm scared. hahaha i dunno, maybe my uni friend joel freaked me out but i've heard far too many crazy stories..so nope, not taking chances. hahaha

received the ion orchard vouchers, ALL COURTESY OF JTB <3 i realised the main office is in the same building as the other KBR office i.e. the address on my namecard lol. i could have walked over and collected the voucher instead of having the coordinator to mail this out. then again, wouldnt have taken him much effort either. yay to 50 dollars voucher! am planning to use this voucher to get some thermal clothing from uniqlo (i know 50 is probably not going to help much but aye, better than nothing.) i figured passing it to my mom wont work cos its a full 50 bux voucher means we gotta spend it whole sum.. shall finalise the tickets AND book my leave first before doing the shopping for the trip :)
me and mom planning to visit hdb just to see how the flats look like before we choose it! hahaha :)
need to try to set up the giro thing to my ezlink card. AND I JUST FOUND ONE MORE REASON TO STEP OUT OF MY HOUSE AT 7AM - 30cents discount if i reach tanjong pagar before 7.45am. i realise i have been reaching after 7.45am, at about 7.50am every morning!! i reached at 7.44am (phew) and saw tt my fare is only $1.36!! cheap!! so yup, gotta stop snoozing after 6.40am. HA
