273 Fireflies. bb!Carlos Jose
His hands wide, he crouched over the grass, eyes shining as he held his breath.
Now, quick!
His hands tenderly came together, fast, but cupped so as not to crush the glowing bug.
He ran to her laughing, she less excited by the fireflies than by the book in her hands, sitting on a bench.
CJ Interrupted, laughing as he thrusts his hands over her pages, and whispers “I got you a present, look!”
He lifted one hand, as the little bug flew off, shimmering before them.
His reward, a tiny smile. He beamed, the pleasure of sharing childhood joys.
169 Teddy Bear. Teen!Carlos Jose
He had plans, knowing that he loved her. One day, he would marry her. But that was just a wish, still. She had important things to do first.
For her birthday, a teddy-bear with a chain around its neck, and a little golden ring hanging from it; A promise ring, full of his wishes for their future.
She stared, unsure, when he offered it. But his warm arms wrapped about her neck, closing the chain, caressing her cheek.
“It’s just a promise, wear this for me.” He explains, kissing her cheek. A promise, until we’re both ready for something more.
290, Practice, bb!Carlos Jose
Sometimes, alone in his room, he’d pull out his red shirt, and tried to imitate a toreador, in his room. He’d swing it around, laughing as he taunted his imaginary bull, and mimicking the audience’s cry of ‘Ole, Ole, Ole!’
He had to practice, because if not how would he ever accomplish his dream of standing on the sands, in pink socks, a cape of red in one hand, a sword in the other hidden behind his arched and perfectly postured back? He had to be better than all the ones who grew up in Spain, natively.
Practice makes perfect.
239, Family, Teen!Carlos Jose
He had a baby sister, a mother and father. He had grandparents, cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Everywhere he looked, he was surrounded by family. Sundays, it became clear just how much family he had.
And now, Eileen sat at his side some Sundays, eating amongst them, and he could see that she didn’t quite fit in, except he had a space in his heart that was just for her. And with his family, he offered her one too: to fill the empty spaces in her heart, and replace the relatives she lacked or lost. She was family, now.
163, Spade, CJLeen
The spade made him jealous and angry sometimes. He didn’t like the way the ace looked at his girlfriend. He gave her gifts, and leered at her the way no older man should at a girl her age. And told influenced her in whispers and touches that made his skin crawl.
He didn’t like it, she was his, and he was hers, and there was no room in their life for a man like that between them.
CJ wasn’t violent, but sometimes, he just really wanted to club that ace into the ground, and never let him near her, again.
243, Reunited, CJLeen
He’d been away, because that was the Ramos way. Go out and see the world. College kept him busy, and they didn’t see each other much during the school year.
But, every summer and winter break, he ran like hell with his bags, racing to get home. He’d drop off his things, and run for her office so he could sweep her in his arms and cover her in kisses, tender words.
He aches when she’s not near. But once they’re older, he hopes to be reunited with her every night, kissing her hello, goodbye, and every second in between.
014. Candy. bb!CJ
He’d gone as a firefighter, going from door to door with his hand inside his mother’s, and a paper bag painted with a jack’o lantern face. His best ‘grown man’s voice’ at the age of 11, as he said “Señor/a, there is a fire on the premises” which his mother had taught him. But he always laughed before he said Trick or Treat.
He had more candy than he could eat alone, and his baby sibling was still inside his mother. The next day, he waited for Eileen by the stables, so he could share his treasure trove of sweets.
020. Erection. teen!CJ
It was inevitable. She’d press against him as they kissed, it couldn’t be helped, and they’d writhe together, her warm body, soft breasts, and tender lips made him respond physically. There’d come a point where he couldn’t stand it, the ache too deep, the erection too hard to hide.
He’d break the kiss, and cling to her as he murmured “Eileen… help me, I can’t take it anymore.” She caused them, yes, but she also helped him deal with them. And then he did his best to return the favor. Her moans made him get an erection, all over again.
040. Poker. CJleen.
“Three sixes.” He said, fondling his chips, as their feet touched under the table. “Straight flush, hearts” she said back, that cute little way she wrinkled her nose, before she looked at him, an adorable little winning smile. He pushed the chips in her direction, it never mattered what he had. She always won at games that involved logic and chance. She was smarter than him at this.
But she always failed to realize he won no matter what. Because while she laid her cards upon the table, he had a secret Ace: Her, an Ace hidden in his heart.
