In Before the New Year...
Why is everyone calling it the first decade of the new millenium? I thought the new millenium was 2001, so wouldn't that make the first decade 2011?
New Years hasn't been a happy time for a number of years. I don't want to call my family. I don't want to sit through another fit of tears from my sister over Mom's death. At least she still HAS her Dad that she continues to treat like shit. I don't want the emotions involved. Ever since my massive failure to make anything of myself I've wanted to disconnect all ties to the rest of my family. Both parents dead and I become more like my father each year. Call it an extreme self inflicting wound but I really don't care anymore.
