I think it's important to note that the Slovakian girl who agreed with the dumb American stereotype is willing to leave her country to live and work here as are many other people from countries around the world.

Remember what foreign people see from our country and what median they are using to achieve their understanding of our culture. Do most of them walk the streets and talk to people face to face? No. Most information comes from television, radio, news channels, etc etc.

Do those things really represent who we are as a nation or do they represent a small percentage of what happens here?

"Americans know a lot about a lot of stuff, their intelligence is wide, but it is not deep."
-Ehhhh, thats a little off base in my opinion.

What Americans has she personally conversed with or met that have formed this kind of track record? If she is putting out that kind of generalization having never lived here or really been immersed in the culture I think she should assess her own "depth" of intelligence.

If people make statements like that, they need to have a vast amount of experience with different types of people from all walks of life in the United States. It's like reporting, you can't spew things out unless you are qualified to comment on them.

"Maybe it's just the universe always balancing itself. It's that simple."

A skateboard is a very simple device...just ask Rodney Mullen.
