Sathi from Bhutan

Dec 12, 2003 04:25

I met Sathi in Bhutan. She weighed less than 90pds, walked four hours per day, to work, carried her small child on her back. We talked for the two hours it took to trek up the hill. We talked about life via Taoism. She had the most amazing smile I have ever seen.

She had the TAO internalized. She was illiterate. She dedicated parts to me, which upon my return to Canada I have researched.

Sathi described life as dynamic, an evolving pattern of life in which nothing exists in isolation. Living means becoming more aware of life’s patterns, being open, flexible and embracing the new. A way to balance inner and outer power. That is the inner power helps when the outer is more out of balance.

Life is a journey of discovery and fulfillment that leads straight from the heart.

The first step of womanhood is realizing that you are part of the natural world, where life is interrelated and nothing in the universe stands still.

Beyond division
Find power in wholeness
-TAO 44-

You can make your life more harmonious by approaching it as a dynamic dance among the things we do, and remaining true to our own nature.

When we value ourselves as part of nature and value nature as ourselves: We are at home

You can make your life more harmonious by approaching it as a dynamic dance among the things you do, and remaining true to your own nature.

When we value ourselves as part of nature
Value nature as ourselves:
We are at home.
Embracing One

A woman
Holds oneness in her heart
And her world is at peace,
Does not try to please
And therefore shines,
Does not seek attention
And therefore excels,
Does not justify herself
And is therefore trusted,
Does not imitate others
And is therefore herself,
Does not compete
And therefore no one in the world
Can surpass her

Thank you Sathi.
