First day on the road after leaving NJ was pretty... uneventful. We drove and drove and drove some more... like you do.
We infected Shawn with the game which... ok I will be mean and explain it.
All there is to the game is exactly that: The Game. If you think about The Game, you lose. When you do lose, you must tell someone that you have lost. If they do not know of the game, you must explain it. The point of the game is to not think about the game. This has made for a very interesting ride.
We also have been spreading the bear shark question. If there is a bear and a shark in a tank, and the tank is deep enough for the shark to swim, but shallow enough for the bear to stand, who would win in a battle? The bear or the shark?
Feel free to give your input.
We have been asking random people across the country this question. It's pretty fun.
That night we got a room at an inn instead of having to deal with setting up tents on damp ground and hoping it didn't rain. The Steve Alfred All-American Inn in Indiana.
We were also followed by rain. I should mention that. It had been raining all up and down the east coast, and we thought as we went west we would be leaving that behind, but apparently the rain had a thing for us, and followed us. It kept raining every couple hours.
The first really amusing thing happened this night I think. Joe got in the shower after we checked in, while I sat on the internet. We all just sat around and chilled. Joe got out of the shower holding up wet socks and kind of laughing. We ask him what happened and he kind of stands there and laughs as he informs us "... I... I uh.......I showered with my socks on."
nuff said.
I really need to get this caught up so you all know what's going on and I can post about the current day each night instead of the day or two previous, but I will still only be posting them one day to each post. so soon there's going to be like three posts posted in one night... to get caught up.
I'm trying to get internet access as often as possible, but so far I've only had it when we stay at a motel/hotel/inn. So when we start camping I may be getting internet even less often. We shall see. I think I will be getting internet opportunities more often once we get to the west coast.
