New York City agreed today to pay $125,000 to a Wellesley graduate who sued the Police Department for failing to heed her calls for help when a mob of men doused her with water and beer, tried to strip off her pants and sexually molested her during the Puerto Rican Day Parade in June 2000.
Bad journalism!
I'm not quite sure why the key identification as a Wellesley grad was necessary. Are women only worthy of reparations (is that the word I mean?) if they can speak up for themselves?
