Black Sheep
Well, where in the world should I begin? Since my last complete entry, I found out about an unusual human interest story. It turns out that there was this older gentleman in a small town west of Fredericksburg who decided to sell his farm and move in to a house in the middle of a park near town. He was able to get a good price for his home and used the proceeds to put an offer on his dream house. He got the go ahead from the seller and began to make changes in anticipation of his move-in. These included adding a fence for his dog and making renovations to the interior. Well, he shows up on the day of the closing, only to find out that the seller cannot complete the transaction...as the home had been seized by the state. It seems that the seller was actually one of the largest weed dealers in town, and grew a great deal of his product at that home. Well, the kicker for the whole story is that the seller's uncle is actually the town mayor....and he's up for re-election...and it would have been unopposed, until another person decided to run two weeks earlier. So, now it looks like the scandal could cost the mayor his job...but only time will tell.
