Japan surrounded by… disputed territories

65 years have passed since the defeat of Japanese militarism, yet Tokyo still insists on confronting its neighbors. One curios fact is that Japan has its own “Kuril Islands” (the island of Tokdo), over which its relationship with South Korea is a strained one. Due to Tokyo's provocative actions in the island's area, several military conflicts were close to eruption.
