Blue Blazes No!! I sprayed that thing with bug killer until she was dripping in the stuff. And she fought it! Tried to hang on to her web, but ended up falling down.
I waited until she stopped moving before I crotched down to get a better look, but not to close. As I mentioned above, I was a little fascinated with being able to see one of these things upclose and not in some zoo or something. Then I wondered if I should throw the body in the trash or flush it down the toilet. Personaly I was leaning toward the latter, THEN THE DAMN THING STARTED MOVING!!!!
It was like out of a horror movie or something. The teenagers think the bad guy is dead, so they move in for a closer look of the villian's idenity, only to discover a cold hand suddenly upon their ankle. And what do they do, they scream.....Can't say I was much better.
Rrian went inside to get something to finish her off with while I waited out side and kept an eye on her staggering movements. Movements that as the seconds ticked off became more sure. It didn't look good either cause the spider wasn't scurring off as most do, nope she was looking. I finally couldn't stand it anymore. I yanked off my flip-flop and smack her. TWO TIMES!!!! It's the Leprcaun(sp?) come back to haunt me!
Anyways, got it taken care off, got a small "goo" stain on our driveway now, and I look at the box piled garage with new eyes. The kids and the cat aren't allowed in there. Period.
