New Moon - Movie
Since several people have asked about my thoughts on New Moon and 140 characters just isn't enough, I figured I'd post a few very brief thoughts. Keep in mind, this is my own personal opinion and I am NOT a fan of the books.
-- It *is* better than Twilight. Not difficult to manage, but props for that. There were a few witty lines here and there. Enough to make me chuckle slightly about three times. Can definitely tell there was a larger budget. And that's about all the good I can think of.
-- There was much eye-rolling, but a lot of that had to do w/the story-line. Robert Pattinson is still so very wooden and lacks any emotional range whatsoever. From one line to the next, it's all the same. Throw Kristen Stewart into the mix and it's just... unconvincing and uncomfortable. The wolves made me laugh. Taylor Lautner? Yeah, pretty much laughed at him the entire movie -- which was OMG, a LONG FUCKING TIME.
Eh, I can't think of anything else at the moment. But then again, I've only had 2 hours sleep.
As I told my daughter: It didn't suck ass as much as Twilight. However, not sucking ass and being enjoyable are two totally different things.
