I'd been meaning to watch Fullmetal Alchemist for years now and over the last two weeks I've watched all fifty-one episodes of the original anime as well as the movie, and I plan to start raeding the manga this week ( Read more... )

Noooo cause the seiyuu in Hetalia for Russia==Gluttony XD;;;

The circle is EikiEiki Zau Taishou, or they might go under Kozuya. They're a HUGE and professional circle. They have 2 FMA normal books and the amazing magic box book which features Armstrong x Roy. The two normal books sort of follow the actual FMA storyline and parody it. The magic box book features a box with names in it, and a character draws a name to see who they have to have sex with. Among the highlights are: Armstrong x Roy, Roy/Winry and Riza/Riza! :D

I'm sort of wondering if our world's Ed/Al were ACTUALLY Ed/Al or just looked similar to Ed/Al if that makes sense. One would think that our world's Al sort of died when Al lost his body. ^^;;;

Ed was saving himself for his brother because he only likes true incest. XD;;;; That and let's be honest, Al H. is just no comparison to Al E in terms of personality. It's not just the voices they really seem like completely different characters who share a vague resemblance and name and that is it. Also, I'm not sure if it is just lazy animators, but one of the gypsies/Roma looked like Trisha/Sloth with a tan.

Al H. just didn't seem like Al E. other than sort of physically and first name.

At least Hughes left the Nazis to be with Gracia. >>;; Though it seemed sort of weird he ever would be a Nazi since Hughes just didn't seem the type. Also why is Ed the only one who was British!?!?

And OK Pride==Fritz Lang was so WTH.

Haha, well that makes sense as I haven't watched the Hetalia anime yet only raed the comic. But soon I won't be able to "unhear" it. LOL

Sweet! I'll check K-Books and Mandarake next time I go. Magic Box indeed!

Yeah, again I wonder if the anime writers REALLY thought out the Shamballa repercussions or not. Because all the other characters were more or less Our World versions of themselves without question. Only Ed and Al were kind of questionable.

Ed is devoted to true brotherly love! He will then be surprised by how much loving that entails when Al jumps him in about two years. Al H. is a poor replacement/bad copy of Al E. He can go join the Tringam Brothers for identity theft and fail time. I thought one of the Roma looked like Trisha/Sloth as well. We'll chalk it up to the animators being lazy and the writers thinking they're oh so clever.

Yeah, but to be a Nazi in the first place seems so OOC. Wasn't a big part of Alchemical World Hughes that he did not blindly follow authority or mob mentality? That he had his own plans and would selflessly sacrifice for his loved ones, military/society be damned?

...I'm not sure? Maybe Hohenheim just took orphan Ed to London with him and he's really German? Maybe the writers didn't have a very clear idea of the movie specifics when they wrote it? Maybe one of the writers had a kink for Our World Ed and Al having HOT Anglo-German relations?

Yeah, that was WTF. Because you know Fritz Lang in another world was secretly a Homunculi-turned-Fuhrer! >_<

I just heard a drama CD and it was like... Gluttony wants to rape Lithuania o_O;;; There was something wrongly right about it.

Yeah, and I will see what else I can remember. If you don't have it next time I am in Japan I can also look for it for you. I would highly recommend it.

Actually.. none of our world versions of characters resembled personality-wise their FMA!world counterparts except maybe Gracia, Scar and Lust.. Maybe.

Nah, Ed is totally looking forward to it. He was a bit freaked when Al looked so young and claimed he had no memories, but now he is ready as soon as Al goes through puberty, again. The Tringham brothers I always think of as Ed and Al's stunt doubles now because of the parodies >>;;; I like the Tringham brothers more than Al. H. probably because they look and act like different characters while Al H. looks like Al but is just... not. I mean Al is the one who first grows to care for Scar and the Ishballans, it is hard to see him as someone who would ever just help the Nazis/Thules. And OK good, I am glad it was not just me.

Yeah... it was. Maybe uhhh he needed to have known Roy to have grown like that or something? I don't know. I sometimes think he was there just so they could be like, look Hughes!

But it was during World War I! The British were not going to just let some random guy bring random German boy into the country! Also wouldn't dead!Ed be much older than Al H??

Also wouldn't Pride have died a looonnnnnnng time ago? I mean he seemed to have been a homunculus for quite some time since Envy didn't say, oh yeah there is a new Pride to Greed, just a new Lust and Sloth. Also I think Greed recognized Pride and was all GAH too many other sins!

The more I think on it, maybe the people who looked like people in our world were not supposed to be analogues/twinners of people in FMA!world and are more just like doppelgangers. It could explain why they might look similar but their personalities are vastly different.
