What I Wrote for Yuletide 2012

Jan 02, 2013 22:18

I had a ton of fun writing for Yuletide this year. My only regret is that I couldn't write more! Maybe I'll get some New Year's Resolution's stories written because there were such great prompts this season.

Your Friends Come Flying for allyndra
Fandom Pegasus y Robin McKinley
Rated: Teen & Up
Word Count: 2, 853
A little post-book sequel looking at Ebon and Sylvii's future. I chose to do little vignettes at different points in time because I'm sure McKinley will do  the big epic battle with wings and magical swords and I can't do justice to that. I fussed a lot with this piece hoping to capture the book tone and I'm not sure if I succeeded.

The Yellow Rose of Mystery & Other Wonders of the World fo shati
Fandom: houjo Kakumei Utena | Revolutionary Girl Utena
Rated: Mature
Word Count: 5,073
A post-series story that was inspired b shati's marvelous prompt of Nanami and Anthy meeting post-series. And then it grew legs. And ran away. It can be read as a stand-alone, but it's really meant to be a huge Nanami-and-Anthy-Are-Team-Rescue story.

The Last Daughter of Artio or Birgit Riddle (silencedancer)
Fandom Brave (2012)
Rated: eneral Audiences
Word Count: 566
In which I play with the idea that the Witch is a weakened (a la American Gods) version of the Germano-Celtic bear goddess Artio because I can't get enough of mythic archetypes and aspects of deities.

yuletide, utena, brave, fics
