Salut tout le monde!

Well, hotel living sure kicks rez's ass in terms of comfort! I am currently sitting in a huge bed, with tons of pillows and well my mumsy is here watching Oprah(shudder). I also mananged to fashion a head-sling from my scarf to keep the icepacks securely attached to my face hands-free.

Anyway, here's today's summary:

Mum reacted well when my dentist walked in. Here's how it went:

Dr. El-Onsi walks in, I say hello.
Mum turns to me, "That's him?!"
"Yup."
"HE'S TWELVE!"
She then burst out into hysterical laughter which was so obvious that he and the receptionist looked over and asked us what was going on. Mum was too busy cackling with tears in her eyes that I had to explain. Doc just laughed and said someone had said the same thing last week. He said he wondered why everyone always specified 12, he could pull off at least late teens.

Then we went to the pharmacy to pick up the stuff that we needed. Chatting with the pharmacist, mum mentioned how young the guy looked. The pharmacist said "Oh yeah, I know the guy. Mmm he looks gooood, but not THAT young."

The sedation went really well. He dissolved three little pills into a glass and told me to drink it, sit down and don't read anything or talk. Limiting my brain stimulation would cause the full effects to be achieved swifter. So I sat there and tried to turn off my brain, and as always, whenever I try to clear my head my thoughts always turn to the same thing, but I guess I didn't get too upset because I don't remember anything after that point. Don't remember walking out of the waiting area, anything about the surgery, or coming home. Sweeeeet. They don't give the extra little blue pills to people to take home because they are no longer needed and could be used as a date-rape alternative......yay Valium with an amnesic affect.

I'm not in too much pain at the moment, I still feel pretty out of it though.

So, not a lot happened this past week.

Monday:
Typical day all-in-all. I managed to get up for calc *woot* and I think I did better than utter-fail on my calc quiz that afternoon.

Monday night was really amazing. I had been very nervous to go as I had no idea what to expect but I think it's going to be really helpful.

Tuesday:
SNOW BABY!
I woke up, ran down the hall yelling gleefully only to be met by Sarah who was also celebrating the snow.
(I tried to post some pictures but it just wasn't working out...coming soon I hope.

In the afternoon Ben Godby, Tristan, Liza, Sarah and I made a snow fort on Forbe's Field and then showed people who had never experienced snow before how to have a really good snowball fight. Muahaha!

Tristan and Tyler decided that they wanted to come to my World of Chem Drugs lecture becasue we were going to be talking about stimulants, hallucinogens, amphetamines etc. To make sure that it would be as captivating as possible Tristan decided to pre-drink FOR MY LECTURE. oy. It was pretty funny, he did 9 shots of Jameson in 20 minutes and was good to go.

Wednesday:
I spent a whole lot of time on the 6th floor of the Schulich library....quiet little haven. I got there are 9:30 after calc, left for 15 minutes for an appoint and then from 10:45 to 4:30 I barely left my seat. I definately considered it come 12:30 when I'm supposed to have chem, but just as I was shutting dowm my computer a hurricane-force wind made the windows shake followed by sheets of rain. I happened to be sitting next to the window where the top of the Burnside building is visible and there is a little weather vane with some wind indicator beneath it (the classic arrow for direction, and a thing below that twirls in circles depending on the speed) it was spinning at an alarming pace. People on the paths below were running with umbrellas inverted...needless to say, I stayed put.

Thursday:
Labs. My chem lab T.A winked at me, so I made eyes at his eyes. Oh, Jonaton qu'est-ce que nous allons faire? Rien haha.

That's all for now. I can't wait to see Harry Potter.
I miss you all!
