And what's more, how come Sarian convinced everyone so quickly? I mean, if someone came up to me and said, "Ashura's fucking a giant vined beast!" I'd... well personally, I'd punch Sarian across the face for Ashura's sake ;)... but if I was the village chief, I'd be pretty skeptical!
No offense intended, of course, because this is a really good twist in teh story!

Also, I'm glad that Ashura managed to land a few blows on Sarian, at least. That bastard had it coming. Hopefully Sarian will get beaten up even more. I'm equally as anxious for the next chapter

The way you described the destruction and Ashura's despair was very moving. Very easy to picture Ashura as he desperately searched for signs of life in his beloved, destroyed vined beast. I hate those terrible villagers for trampling Ashura's only source of joy.

I managed to NOT cry... *huffs* ... thou really, at one point, where I was reading Ashura all so happy happy, then suddenly, the sinking feeling sinks in, then, the all out run with worry coursing through your veins, then BOOM. at those moments... I was seriously developing this very odd headache at the back of my eyes... so.... i guess I teared a bit...
I'm not particularly emotional today. sooo.... *shrugs* ... :(

I got too angry. and distracted. and angry. and frustrated. and AAARRRGHHHHH!!!!
and honestly, mainly angry at YOU. so my anger, at everything and anything, overcame sadness... but well... i tend to do that... I don't like crying... so I prefer getting myself angry so that I won't feel sad... *holds onto brain* aaaaaaaarrrghhh complexities....
you know... you know... You have no idea how much more of a BIGGER impact this chapter would have given if i DID NOT KNOW that the plant was gonna get burned. DESHO???? right right? ne ne?
When you already know, (or at least me), you start to expect it, start to wonder when it will happen, start to guess and stuff. and that kills the joy of when it actually does happen. *pouts* nyuuuuuuuuuuuu~~~~ =x=

I felt so bad for Ashura; the plant was his only friend; he could talk to it, tell it anything and the plant made him feel loved. And now it's gone. Ashura has no one. He feels abandoned; his plant is gone, his mother's gone, he never knew his father, the Elf is gone. Jesus, I'm depressing myself all over again.
I was thinking that when Ashura was sifting thru all the ash and debris from the plant, when he was looking for any sign of life from it, I was thinking that maybe the plant would be able to "re-create" itself, to start anew, something like that. Boy, this must be the longest run-on-sentence ever!!!! But you get my point. Maybe if Ashura waters it and gets is some plant food, maybe, just maybe it will be born again, like a phoenix. Don't they rise from their own ashes? OMG, but wouldn't that be great????? But instead of the plant growing in the forest, Ashura would take it to his house. I was thinking of that when I was reading the chapter. It's too bad Ashura never uprooted the plant and re-planted it in his house. Then he would have had total privacy w/the vined beast. Not a beast at all actually.

There was no real way for revenge to work its way into my plot, but I may come up with something that will... at least satisfy you raging mob a little... I hope. Won't be for a long time, though. D:
