jsut sitting in the bridge killin time...
frustrated with the english teacher because i did so much for that paper and thought that it was so solid until i got it back and say that he STILL doesnt really like my style...even though i realyl dont have a style...
what a douche.
on a lighter note...I LEAVE FOR LA CROSSE TOMORROW!!
i have a jazz concert tonite it is gonna SUCK!
hmm..as i sit here looking out the window to wisconsin avenue, i see all of the people in the world come and go, doing what they are doing, each having their own destinations. i see friends, lovers, old men, young children, white people, black people, cold people and sad people. all are different and all ahve their own story.
and then i see the american flag waving in the strong milwaukee wind over them. and it gives me chills knowing that all of these types of people are pretty much accepted here.
but not all of them.
and this is why we want to make Marquette a Hate-Free Campus. There are numerous forms that this comes in. i see black people with black people, and whites with whites. I see guys turning around and looking at girls and giving them gestures, i see two guys walking side by side quickly give each other a hug before leaving each other at the street and going two different ways and look around to see how others reacted. The reactions are always the same. Strange looks. Pointed fingers. Hate. why is there so much hate??
Watch what you say, be concious of your actions, fight for the better of this so called Land of the Free, and be BRAVE. STAND UP FOR OTHERS WHO ARE BEING DISCRIMINATED!!
You have NO IDEA how much POWER that ONE PERSON has.
differences can be made.
so just do them.
It may sound diffcult...but change can happen. Start small. have a plan. execute it.
you dont have to do it alone.
find three other people who share the same passion that you do, and act upon this passion. Dont let these social norms continue on. They are not ok. They will not go away until action is taken.
Take Action.
and make a difference.
