It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year!
I woke up this morning to quiet. The sound of the several generators throughout the neighborhood was gone. We survived with minor inconvenience. The contents of our fridge and freezer are fine.
The kids have been bored, but happy for the adventure during all this. They go back to school tomorrow. Younger Son was supposed to go back today, but the town still has downed power lines on some streets.
Husband Person was amazingly sweet. The florist delivered a wonderful "Back to School" bouquet for me. I'm going to pretend for a bit that Husband Person knows I like dahlias, sunflowers, alstroemeria, and gerbera daisies.... just for a bit :)
