Title: I'm Down To a Whisper in a Daydream on a Hill.

Length: One Shot Collection
Rating: PG
Summary:
I want to bake you a mud pie
on the hill of my daydreams.
I think destiny have drawn a subway and an empty seat across of him. I can see the pencil lead tenderly drawing the couple beside him in many pretty colors. The music is light turquoise with an edge of soft brown. The pencil shifts colors and it traces a bright orange umbrella an elderly woman can't seem to close, and I cursed myself for forgetting to bring mine. It seems the season of raindrops and humid thoughts have come upon the city and yet I can't remember the last time I've gotten in a subway before. At the edge of my seat and with my head turned to the right, I see a dinasaur drawned in dark blue in the rusted metal booth, but I peek and cought him looking. Once, posibly, twice, I can't seem to see nor think straight. But I hear the couple chit chating about the curly hair foreiner girl in front of them.
The girl with long wavy auburn hair pulls into the man beside her, "do you think that funny looking girl is pretty?"
"Don't say such things. She might listen."
"She wouldn't understand. She's from far far away."
"Talk about ignorance."
"Talk about stupidity. Is she pretty then?"
" Why would she? She's from far far away and she doesn't speak Japanese as a natural like you. And I like you being from here not from a far away kingdom."
"Shut up, she might hear you."
A giggle and a shhh between teeths surrounds the air and I smile because I know that someday I will have someone to annoy.
In a moment everything, even the tiny squeaky sound my seat makes, and everyone is silent. I've heard thing song way too many times in my head like an ipod in repeat. But I like the tune it has, the acoustic guitar and the sensitive trambone drums it carries with it. The words come into my breath and I feel like singing. I've written this song before.
If we were children
He looks up.
I would bake you a mud pie
He keeps still.
Warm and brown beneath the sun
Dark eyebrows furrowed.
Never learned to climb a tree,
But I would try
Lips curled up.
Just to show you what I'd done.
I met him once and he smiled.
And I do too and I hear his lonesome sigh as he looks away.
And I thank destiny for what she has drawned for me.
Darn it, I forgot my umbrella.
