I was pretty nervous about this episode, but ended up thoroughly enjoying it!
What I liked about this episode:
Adam Novak is back. LOVED him.
Cath and Nick on a road trip. LOVED that. And the comments they were making in the car about Grissom losing weight and going home after shift, and about him maybe having a girlfriend... awesome! Had me grinning ear to ear.
The jail scene... Catherine cleavage and a hint of black bra. So hot.
Grissom's goodbyes, especially with Nick.
The GSR. About halfway through I was thinking to myself, "You know, they like leaving their GSR scenes until the very end" and sure enough they did, and I think it was worth it. I was a bit worried about what tone they'd set with the scene and it was definitely sad, but much more positive than I thought it would be.
The case itself was interesting and well-put-together. This is the first case in a while that's actually drawn me in. I was very pleasantly surprised. Maybe it was also the fact that they didn't try to fit three or four different cases into one episode.
What I didn't like:
Hmm, not much really. That's a first for this season :) Just would have liked to see more Sara, Warrick, and Greg, but I guess not everyone can have tons of screentime each episode.
What I am completely freaked out about:
That box on Grissom's desk.
The one we know has another mini crime scene model in it.
The one that Grissom isn't going to open for A MONTH.
(And as much as I hate to admit it, the writers have done something right because I'm actually feeling something....)
