Okay: Tomorrow's the Daytime Emmys - one guess where I'll be for most of the night. That's right - in my room, in front of my TV, my DVD recorder remote at the ready. Seriously - it will be a night of "Chris who?" for me. Much like every Y&R day has been for me since we got the news LOL! Long forgotten here. Honestly, I don't care why he quit, point is he didn't want the role so he left an opening for someone who did want it and part of me can't help but want to thank him and TPTB that got Michael into said role 'cause, well - I heart the snark. Chris didn't have that snark or that smirk - it wasn't the same. He bored me. We all know Michael doesn't - so yeah...
As for what I did today - I'm in download hell but I'm thankful at least that I found this movie. Wish even just one person had seeded it though - over 2 and a half hours and I've gotten all of 2.0% downloaded. In a word: OUCH.
Beyond that I made a new vid! Finally! In VEGAS no less! It's my would-be OT3 to Chris Isaac's "Somebody's Cryin'". Came out way better than I expected. I managed a new header too - not sure how I feel about it though, not sure what to add for text...
Also we're 2 days away from vmfic_gameon and their September challenges. I've already done one for "You're NOT the father!" (which is hardly my best, but oh well) and one for the word table (that I like a lot more). I'm amazed with me. I'm also working on another thing for 1sentence that no one else knows about yet. I'm hoping for it to be my first posted crossover for a fave crossover OTP. If you can't figure out who, then you haven't seen my current header lol. What?! It would work!! And I credit Mary Jane/Patty with them having met.
As for last night - for those wondering what I did for CC's bday, I actually managed 4 new songs. Go me. I know. I wrote no less than 3 songs a day, every day, for the first year after his passing so it was kind of nice to get back to that. With all these fics my songs have taken a serious backseat but I haven't complained because I needed the break, everything was looking and sounding the same after a while.
So now I'm gonna go back to fighting with this dl, likely call it an early night, try to get more written for some other fics (including my NEW Everest fic! I didn't mean for it to be an Everest fic, but so far I think it's one of the best I've written in a long time. Better than "The Deal"? Hard to say. My shipper self screams "NO!" because V and Lamb aren't married here [or are they?], but story-wise who knows - I'll let you guys decide).
And YES that "V making Lamb watch NuAdam Y&R" fic is being written! I honestly laugh every time I picture Lamb's face at seeing Adam slip his ankle monitor off lol... I suddenly feel the need to make a .gif of that. Oh hell, after tomorrow night I'm gonna be in Y&R overload, I fear what .gifs I may do next. But then you've all already seen the man in a towel, I doubt it can get much "worse" from here lol
