This is a ridiculously long and detailed post of our time in Ireland. It's more for my benefit than anyone else's. I was starting to forget places and things to I tried to chronicle our trip to keep it straight in my brain.
Sounds like you had a blast, except for the forced/unplanned stay part. Hotel room is awesome! Was it huge, or did it just look huge? Love the rings too.
The European quirks are funny eh? It's the same in Germany. Everything but bars and restaurants are closed on Sunday, have to pay for everything like shopping bags and using public bathrooms (I don't think that's a bad idea though), and in Germany you always pay for water! That is very annoying. And meals take forever, which can be nice, except when you're eating every meal out. When they brought you the bill would the server stand there patiently to make change for you? I liked that in Germany, makes way more sense than the server running away so he/she can't possibly see us getting their tip out as they do here. You also tip much less cos the servers get a proper wage.
I really want to see Ireland. Was supposed to go with my Dad but it never happened. He went on business and loved it, people though he had an Irish accent still :)
