Who on my list is mac savvy? I cannot open Word or Powerpoint files. The software crashes immediately after loading. I've tried trashing my preferences but I cannot figure out where the Hell effing Microsoft stores them! I have SO much work to get done tonight and a meeting at 7pm.

Hit me up on IM if you can help me. msjosiefiend

mac, work

It is OSX. I tried running Disk Utility and PowerPoint still won't load. Should I reboot after running the utility?

IT just came and installed my PC so I have access to the files now. Whew! But it would be supercool if I could figure out how to open Word docs on my mac again. Copying and pasting everything into emails is a biatch!

Thank you so much for trying to help me! Kisses to seattlejo for sending you to my rescue!

Yes I ran the "repair permissions" in the first aid. There's no plist for microsoft listed at all in preferences. I only have ones for apple and stuffit which makes no sense at all because I should have a TON for adobe.

All i own are Macs but none of them have word or Powerpoint. How lame am i that i use Neo office. The suck is i have to convert any files anyone sends me then remember to convert them back before sending them. I only learned this after sending people files they could not read. Doh.

Not lame at all! I don't have Office on my home machine at all. I keep meaning to research some kind of freeware so I can open DOC files. Everyone in my office uses PC so I kinda have to go with the norm here.
