Josie is in New York, at the front of her hotel, wrapped up in her mother's fur coat. She and her parents are waiting for a taxi to bring them to Times Square. The rest of her family will meet them there-Gran and Gramps and Auntie Lu and the terrible twins. The people, the atmosphere- everything felt welcoming.
Their taxi approaches and everyone clambers in excitedly. Josie takes off her star-patterned gloves and feels the pockets of her coat to reveal a ticket to watch Elf the musical at Hirschfield Theatre. Her grin grows wider and she clutches tightly to her autograph book in the other pocket.
