I am 2 years, 1 week and 1 day old

I did lots on my second Christmas and my second birthday. At first I didn't know what to do with the presents because it was so long since I'd had any. At nursery we had a party and big fat man with a long beard called Fa Rissmass gave me a present but I wanted him to have one too (no-one was giving him any) so I gave it back to him at the end. I've got the hang of presents now. You rip open all the paper in tiny pieces, throw it all over the floor and then play with what's inside. I had so many things to look at that I didn't know where to start.

The best things I have to play with now are my motorbike rocker from Nanny and Grandad my drawing table and crayons from Grandma and Grandpa. Mummy and Daddy got me a tricycle and I keep sitting on it to try and encourage them to take me outside but they haven't yet. They promised that we could go for a walk on the prom tomorrow and I could ride it. Mummy is too fat to walk far and she says her back hurts. She has a baby in her tummy. I kiss it and say 'hello baby' to it in the morning.

On my birthday we went to the Blue Planet Aquarium near Chester. It was fantastic. There were lots of sharks but they didn't get the chance to eat my feet. Everyone knows that sharks eat toes so you have to be careful near them. We went through the shark tunnel nine times and I lay on the conveyor belt. I ran around so much that I fell asleep for ages. When I woke up I was in my bed at home. After that, we went SWIMMING. It was like a giant bath but with fountains and showers and it was HUGE. I wanted to go right out into the deep water on my own but wasn't allowed. I swam between Mummy and Daddy though. It was amazing. I cried when I had to come out because I liked it so much. We went straight from the pool to a restaurant where I had lots of noodles and I ate rice with chopsticks (in one hand and I got it in my mouth! Mummy and Daddy just looked at me like they couldn't believe it). Then I had lots and lots of fruit - especially melon. I was so tired when we got home that I was asleep as Mummy and Daddy pulled the covers over me.

I have a passport too. I look very cute in the picture. We went to Ireland for Mummy's birthday and went to a big castle and saw some boats on the river. There were caves and a witches' kitchen too. Daddy held my hand in there in case a witch jumped out. When we went to a posh restaurant, 3 different sets of people came up to our table as they were leaving to say how well behaved I was and how lucky Mummy and Daddy were to have me. I think that all the time.

Being 2 is great. I have a new carseat which is quite grown up an I can see out of the window better than in the old one. I am also very tall and I can climb onto Mummy and Daddy's bed by myself (it is very high, even for a grown up bed). The bad thing about being 2 is that I have to sit on the naughty step for ages now. Not that I'm really naughty, it's just that Mummy and Daddy don't understand how important things are sometimes. You have to stand up for yourself you know. Especially about when you want to eat cake, prunes or cheese or when you want to take the hoover to bed with you. These are my favourite things.

I am so busy that I don't update this journal very often and I know I should. I will probably be better at it after Mummy has had my little brother or sister in a month (one month today).
