It was a good run...
But there comes a time when you have to realize that keeping something that causes you unwanted pain more than half of the time you have it is just a bad idea.
It looked awesome and it was one of the coolest birthday presents I've ever gotten (thanks madjester and sartara) but after one too many days of horrible headaches brought on by the pain of accidentally hitting my ear, sleeping on it wrong, or just looking at it funny, the orbital came out tonight.
It's only been out for a few minutes and my headache is starting to subside. I'm guessing the constant jarring and rubbing of steel on a painfully sensitive area has something to do with it.
Ah well.
Maybe this just means it's time for another tattoo.
