Enveloped in Darkness

Darkness is the absence of Light. Darkness is Evil. Darkness is Lies. Darkness clouds our judgment, makes us do things we wouldn't normally do. The Truth is obscured in Darkness. But is it really the Truth we want to know, or do we wish for the Lies we see to be reinforced? Would we embrace Truth if it were freely given to us, or would we deny the Truth as we already do and claim it as Lies? People say that they are afraid of what they don't know and what they can't see. Truth is, they're afraid of their own imaginations. In the Darkness there lies things beyond imagination, things that the Darkness obscures so we never have to fear them. The Darkness acts as a wall, shielding us from reality and the horrors of the Light. The Truth is, without Darkness, the world would be a most terrifying place.
