Religion.

The funny thing about religion is that it can be absolutely anything. It can be monotheistic, bitheistic, polytheistic, agnostic or even athiestic. If I wanted, my religion could say that a fork will one day feed my mouth exactly ten thousand grains of sand and then the world will end except for me. As absurd as that belief may be, it is possible for that to be a religion.

My religion is basically based on a mixture of the beliefs almost every patheneon in the world, and to say that one follows the religion closer than another would be false, because it is pretty much a combination of all. The philisophical belief that it can be attributed to my religion would the known as "The Secret", which bases its idea on what those that follow the philosphy call the "Law of Attraction".

I believe in all gods and goddesses, both evil and good, but in a different way. I believe that what causes us to be able to pray for something or cast a spell is not the gods we are asking for help from, but our own belief that those gods will help us. I believe that what makes gods and goddesses exist is our belief in them. In reality, the title of "god" is given to those who control their own destiny. Basically, that means that by my beliefs we are all gods. When we believe something will happen, and we feel that thing inside us that we call by so many names, such as "god filling us with his love", we are literally changing the universe to our will. While yes, there are rules that come with our own power, such as the fact that negatives do not exist in the realm of belief and that you can change the universe but not someone's heart, there are no limitations to what you can do with the power of your own belief.

This religion basically says that if you think something, you can will it to happen. The way to do this is simple: merely think what you wish without using a negative term, like not, no, or nothing. if you think "I will not be late", then you find yourself late, it is because your not telling the universe to do something, you are telling it NOT to do something, which is impossible. You cannot stop the universe from moving, you can only change it's direction.

So what does this say about man's biggest questions about the universe, like how the universe started or where we go after we die? After all, to be a religion you have to be able to answer both those questions, right?

Think about your body for a moment. It functions by the actions of your organs, like your heart pumping and your lungs breathing. Each of these organs are made up of billions and billions of cells, which are in turn made up of organelles. Go even further and you can say they are made up of molecules, which in turn are made up of atoms, which in turn are made up of subparticles. Now stop and think the opposite way. A planet is made up of billions and billions of both animate and inanimate objects. A solar system is made of any number of suns surrounded by these planets. A galaxy in turn is made of these solar systems, and the universe is made up of these galaxies, and that's as far as you go? but who says? How do you know that a billion universes don't make up a multiverse, that a billion mutiverses don't make up an infiniverse, and so on? It's beyond human comprehension the vastness of just how much space and time that is, but does that mean it doesn't work that way? Thinking with this mindset, take a look at how cells are created. One cell creates another by cellular fission, right? My belief is that each thought we have creates a new universe in the same way, and that is how our universe exists. It is quite possible, probable even, that this is not the original universe that things like the supposed "big bang" took place. This theory also suggests that somewhere in the infinite cosmos there exists a universe that, for lack of a better term, doesn't exist. Freaky, isn't it?

As for where we go after we die, I ask this question. If our thoughts are powerful enough to change the universe, then what stops it from changing our deaths? Those of us attached to this world can stay as a collection of their own thoughts, or in more religious terms, as ghosts or spirits. Those who believe they are going somewhere specific will go there, where their world will be their own. This may seem bad, because "a viscious killer might think he's going to heaven", but when you die and expect to see that killer in hell, there he will be in your world. Those who believe they will be reincarnated will be reincarnated, and so on. So long as you believe it, that is what will be.

Now I understand that those of you who read this will have a lot of questions. No, nothing has been explained in perfect detail, so alot may not make much sense. It would require me to write a whole book to make everything detailed enough so that all your questions were answered. However, if you are interested in this and have any questions, I will be happy to answer them in the best way possible.

I do not believe there is an exact name for my religion, so I am going to make one up. But the truth is, there already is a name. In fact, there are an infinite amount of names for this religion. It's just someone else's name for it, not mine.

Good luck.
