Snow update

Dec 16, 2008 14:22

It stopped. Now, wait..more of an update on that. Its in the 40s today, so most of the snow is melting. However, the higher in elevation you go, the colder it gets, so the mountains are still full o'snow. Here is a shot from the BlackBerry I took on my way back from lunch today. I expect the mountains to stay covered for a while (these low ones usually melt in a couple of days) as highs in the valley aren't supposed to be out of the mid-40s for at least a week, so they are probably in the 20s and 30s in the mountains (lower on Mount Charleston).

I'm looking to do a photoshoot at Red Rock in the snow on Friday, as there may be more bad weather tomorrow/Thursday (which means a new coat of snow). I have several models interested, just have to decide which one to shoot. One who is interested is also a MUA, so that's a plus and she's kind of got the inside track now.

weather, fun stuff, photography
