ive been in ohio... the heart-land of america. i was in the mahoning valley... a defunct pit on the face of american farmland. i was in youngstown... a shit steel town that i call home. if ohio IS the heartland of america, the youngstown-warren area would be the heavily corroded left ventricle sorely in need of angioplasty. i grew up there, from the age of 10-16 this is where i became an adolescent male... the highest plateau of maturity progression for those bearing the infamous XY combo.
i had a really great time. i flew standby both coming and going and determined that hartsfield-jackson is a customer service nightmare. i saw several old friends, met some new ones that will never be forgotten, and rocked the y-town penguin scene so hard that it will be in withdrawal for at least 3 months. i arrived on a thursday afternoon and left the following saturday. i saw lauren, who ive missed very much. i hung out with some kids from YSU. chilled with the penguins, if you will. i stayed with josh and enjoyed the quasi comfort of his futon {comfortable enough to make you sleepy, yet uncomfortable enough to never actually sleep on.} one thing led to another and i ended up back home in atlanta georgia. HOME, home again, i like to be here when i can, when i come home sore and tired, its nice to warms my bones beside the fire.
woh.
ive got a sore throat.
i watched evil dead, evil dead II, american history X, se7en, the himalayas: with mike palin, and yellow submarine. some truly great movies{&TV}. e-rock taught me how cool the west coast really is, roberta helped hone my time warping abilities, and chad made my white ass laugh like it hasnt in a while. josh drank it like samuel l. jackson, and provided some beautiful moments, complete with matching t-shirts. stephanie's mere presence made my next 2.5 months. jake still kicks more ass than i do, and danielle and i were in one of our "love one another" moods ( a nice stroke of luck, cause we can seriously hate one-another sometimes). amy is holding down her fort, babying her dog and being sexier than ever. good trip etc.
autumn has arrived, oh my brethren. take up your arms and move into the fields. be among the trees and air. be cleansed in her rain and be filled with her harvest.
LOVE {& may the dark side of the moon shine silkily on you}
