This is something that I've got to do my way!
My band, Victor's Lament, and I just finished recording our first demo E.P. We recorded three songs over two long evenings with the fantastic and utterly capable Mike Bardzik (formerly of Philly area punk band The Boils) at Second Story Sound Studios in West Chester, PA.
I couldn't be happier with how it sounded when we left last night (at 1:30am auughhh! so tired!).
The guys in VL are a really great group of people, and the way we've managed to pull off so much in such a short period of time this year has really made me proud to be a part of all of it. It can be stressful managing a bunch of doofy college dudes who all have lives and hectic schedules, but there hasn't been one moment I think any of us regret the effort and time we put into making our music.
All sentimentality aside, I think these tracks are going to turn out amazing and I can't wait to share them with everyone!
Also, if you're coming to see us in Allentown on Sept. 18th with STREETLIGHT MANIFESTO, get your tickets soon! The show is sure to sell out and we're really excited to play!
