History has repeatedly shown that as new technology was made available to the masses it was brought into everyday life making life easier. When Galileo invented the telescope to view the moon, a few years later the same technology was used by 2 opticians, Johann Friedrich Voigtlander, an optician in Vienna, and English optician J.T. Hudson in the 1800 to bring to the world what we know as opera binoculars or theater glasses.
