Meant to post a long time ago, after the first week of classes, I think. Oops.
So, lots of things have happened since the start of the end of my Junior year. Time's going by too quickly. I don't want to start my Senior year or leave school. I like where I am, with the friends I have. Looking back at high school, it went by quickly, but dragged as I experienced it. College is just flying by all the time.
Classes are alright. Pretty interesting for the most part. My Mondays start at 6.30pm, with Corporate Finance. It's with Lauren, so I think I'll manage. Tuesdays and Thursdays are the same, starting at 11.15 with Business Communications, aka Junior Writing. Going to be a bullshit class, but in the bad way, where we have to do stupid grammar excercises and sentence revisions to make them "business-worthy." Every sentence is about the business world. Kind of stupid. I hate mandatory writing classes...
After that is Human Resource Management at 1.00, with a great professor. Funny guy, should be a good one. The room is actually right upstairs from my last class. Then at 2.30 I have Financial Operations Management, back DOWNstairs, a room or two down from my first class. This class is kind of an expanded version of one of my classes last semester, an so far so good.
Finally I have Social Psychology with Norm at 4.00, in Mahar, which is the lecture hall right next to the building with all my classes in it. I think the professor's gay, but I think it'll be really easy. Oh, we have a test in that class on Thursday... huh...
My last class is on Wednesdays, from 3.35 to 6.00. A long time, I know, but it only meets once a week. Industrial/ Organizational Psychology. Not too worried about it, but there is a paper due, and I hate papers. Again, cool professor and interesting topics. Our first class was a contest to see who had the worst jobs in the class.
In other news, I got the security monitoring job, just like Lauren, Melissa, Mike and Norm. Cool. I also still work at the card store for some reason, and I lost their key. I think I left it at home...? Still looking for it.
We've barely been keeping up with the gym, but there have been strong efforts to keep going. Dan also started going to the gym, but unfortunately, he has no fat to turn into muscle. Eat more, Dan, you wiry bastard.
Still no DND yet this semester, which bothers me. It was a nice weekly constant, but everyone had different things going on this semester. It was a busy start. Soon, though, we'll start.
Gamt club really doesn't exist anymore. The president never got a hold of me, or got rooms on the first Thursday, so I called Clayton and kind of merged our clubs. I feel like I really just gave him the members, but that's cool with me. The people who came to my club most of the time were: Katie, Jackie, Lloyd, Jared... maybe Jay... that's really it. Melissa came a few times last semester, but everyone's working Wednesdays this semester, when Clayton's club meets. (BTW, Clayton's club is the Games Hobbyist League. They play all sorts of games, but there were no video games, so I offered that up.) The GHL meetings were full of... weird people, and my club was, too. It's a match made in heaven.
Tomorrow night, I'm going to bring my TV to the meeting, and ask if they can hold on to it for me, so I don't have to bring a TV and all the game stuff. I can manage the game stuff on my own, but bringing a TV just starts to get annoying. Then, if I do bring the TV, maybe I could even donate a GC, or... the GHL does have a lot of money. If they spared under $100, they could get their own 'Cube with controllers, and a copy of Smash and Soul Calibur or something.
People aren't as perceptive to video games as I thought they'd be, though. The meetings start at 7.00, where the Game club used to meet at 5.00. I think when I started going, it was 7.00, though. Sometimes, people play a single board game for those 5 hours, straight. No time for video games.
Anyway, this is what I get for going to bed at midnight: waking up around 5.00am and posting on LJ. Starting to get tired again, so back to bed. OH I ALMOST FORGOT!!!!
